Sunday December 23, 2018 Calendar-:   Fourth Sunday of Advent Year C Colour of Vestment:  Purple Saint of the day-:  "SAINT JOHN OF KANTY, Priest". FIRST READING Taken from-:   “From you shall come forth one who is to be ruler in Israel.” A reading from the Book of the Prophet Micah (Micah 5 :2-5a) Thus says the LORD!  You, O Bethlehem  Ephrathah,  who are little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose origin is from of old, from ancient days. Therefore he shall give them up until the time when she who has labour pains has brought forth; then the rest of his brethren shall return to the sons of Israel. And he shall stand and feed his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they shall dwell secure, for now he shall be great to the ends of the earth. And this shall be peace. The word of the Lord. RESPONSORIAL PSALM   Gotten from-:   "

Know the Catholic prayer for abandonment, before meal, before the recitation of the rosary, and also regina caeli

Queen of heaven, rejoice! Alleluja. For he whom you did merit to bear, Alleluja, Has risen, as he said, Alleluja. Pray for us to God, halleluja. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, Alleluja. For the Lord has risen indeed, Alleluja.

Prayer before meal-:

Bless us, O Lord, and these thy gifts which we are about
to receive through thy bounty.
Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Prayer before you start the rosary-:

Queen of the Holy Rosary, Thou didst deign to come to Fatima to reveal to the three shepherd children the treasures of grace hidden in the Rosary.
Inspire my heart with a sincere love of this devotion, in order that by meditating on the Mysteries of our Redemption which are recalled in it, I may be enriched by its fruits and obtain peace for the world, the conversion of sinners and of Russia, and the graces which I ask of Thee in this Rosary.

(Here mention your request)
I ask this for the greater glory of God, for Thine own honor, and for the good of souls, especially for my own.

Amen.

Prayer for abandonment-:

Father, I abandon myself into your hands;
Do with me what you will.
Whatever you may do, I thank you;
I am ready for all, I accept all.
Let only your will be done in me and in all your creatures.
I wish no more than this, O Lord.
Into your hands I commend my soul:
I offer it to you with all the love of my heart,
for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself,
to surrender myself into your hands without reserve
and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father.
